Thanksgiving at Nannie Kim's house

Thanksgiving day started out as usual - Macy's parade, Monkey bread and then we headed off to lunch at Nannie Kim's house.  We are so thankful for many things:

Our sweet rescued dog - Jovi: we love you!

Emma showing Jovi how much we love her

Most days I'm even thankful for these crazy girls!

Thankful for my family. (and the timer setting on my camera!)

Thankful for the kid's table (even if you still have to sit there when you attend Medical School!)

Thankful for the great food!

Thankful for the Pinterest projects.

Thankful for my dad turning 75 on Thanksgiving day.

Thankful that I'm still the favorite child, even if my oldest sister tried to buy dad's love (tee hee!)

Thankful for nephews who can still make my kids laugh with  a beat box ap on their phone.

Thankful for family (of course)

Thankful for my parents

Thankful for my kids (again)

(ditto)

Thankful for a mean after lunch game of Yatzee!

Thankful that I can rematch my nephew at Christmas and beat his butt!
We had a great time this year!  I am stuffed and exhausted as I write this!  Hope everyone had a great day.

Mammy's cupboard in Natchez

So at the beginning of the week of Thanksgiving, the family headed up to Tallulah to visit Mark's mom.  Although I didn't take any pictures when we visited (oops!), I did get a few on our way home.  We have passed this place a million times and never stopped there.  Well this trip we decided to stop.  Its Mammy's cupboard, and we had a great meal, but the pie was the best part.

Thanksgiving lunch at Northside

Emma's elementary school, Northside, does an annual Thanksgiving meal before we get out for the holidays. This year Mark and I were both able to go b/c it was at his lunch time and my off hour.  This is such a treat for me.  We had a good time and got to visit with Emma and her friends.

Girl Scout day at the Corn Maze

Emma has taken on a new adventure this year we call Girl Scouts.  I am so excited about this because I was a Girl Scout back in the 70's, and it was a very fun time even back then.  She is in a troop with mostly girls who go to other schools, so it gives her a chance to make some new friends.  She has really enjoyed it, and is obsessed with getting new patches!

The Saturday of the Alabama game (which shall go unmentioned after this), we got up very early and headed to the Country Corn Maze in Pine Grove, which is about 45 minutes north of my house.  It was a foggy day, and I was very glad to have Mark with me.  It was Girl Scout day and the girls got a patch for attending that day and bringing canned good for a food drive.  Luckily our whole family was able to go.

Emma's height measurement at about 4 feet.

Katie's measurement at about 5 foot 6!!  That's about 4 inches on me.
Emma and her buddy McKenzie, who actually goes to Northside with her.

You could hear them laughing and screaming all the way across the yard!

The favorite part of the day!
We all had a great time that day.  After that we went on to Nutcracker ballet practice and then Mark and I headed out to LSU to watch an exciting, but terribly sad ending to a football game.  Like I said, we wont speak any more of that!
