The kids' clubs on the Dream

So in true Disney fashion the Dream has amazing kids areas, which my children would have stayed in the whole time if we let them (and it was tempting!). They have a "tween" and a teen club also, but much to Katie's chagrin, she was not old enough to attend. Anyhoo... the clubs are called the Oceaneer's club and the Oceaneer's lab, and technically, Emma should have been in the club and Katie in the lab, but they went back and forth and it didn't matter. The first night of the cruise family could go in and check it out, so I got to get some pictures. The girls got GPS bands that allowed them to check in and out, and they could tell us exactly what section the girls were in... too cool!

We ran into Pluto on the way to the clubs

In the Club area, they had kind of open play areas like this one for Monster's Inc:

... and this one was Tinkerbell - Emma's favorite. They could design fairies on the computers, color them and print them out. They also had lots of crafty things to do there:

Emma in the Tinkerbell area:

My personal favorite area - Nemo!. Here Katie checks out the view:

... and so does my other big kid:

Toy Story area (like Andy's room - and the potato head, really had interchangeable parts!):

This was kind of the open area where they had shows and played games. You can see into the Tinkerbell and Nemo part:

Emma enjoying the bean bag chairs:

Arts and crafts area:

Driving the boat. Katie talked about doing this one before we even left b/c she had seen it on TV or somewhere. Everytime we came to pick up the girls, they were doing this one. A favorite:

I think this was like digital air hockey. They had couple of tables like this with different 2 person games:

Okay, so if the girls had to name their favorite things on the cruise, I would dare to say this might be in the top 2. I had read about this before the trip, and I knew they would love it. There was a kiosk right by the kids clubs where you picked up a detective "badge" that would help you to solve a ship mystery. The ship has several "interactive art" pieces around the ship. They actually move when you walk by and the pictures change... but if you get one of these badges, you can play a game of sorts where you solve a mystery. We had to walk around the ship finding certain pictures. The girls would hold up their badges and get a clue to solve the mystery. It was very cool, and I wish I would have taken more pictures of them doing this. I do have a short video that I will eventually get up.

This is Katie at the kiosk listening to the directions (while she videos) for solving the mystery. It was great b/c they had 2 different mysteries and they did both. Very cool!

Next time, our first night dinner on the cruise... Animator's palate!
